we love design.

To say the least – our clients are diverse. Oil and Gas Sector, Government, Post Secondary, Retail, The Arts, Hotels, Restaurants, Heath Services as well as the Trades. Sometimes business owners that are new to hiring a design firm are curious about process. At Gritt we keep it REALLY simple for the client. You let us know what you need, your timeline and budget and we create something that will suit your needs from start to finish. No need to hire multiple people (we are like a general contractor who does the brunt of the work). We are THE one stop shop. For example: You need a brand–we will do the brainstorming, name generation, logo creation, colour palette development, brand standards, website, and printed materials (from a business card to wrapping a vehicle–we also deal with the printers). You will get billed from one source in an itemized fashion. Because we run a remote office, there are no overhead costs to running our business and we pass these savings onto you. Our teams are created based on your needs. Need a copywriter, and illustrator and a graphic designer? No problem. Our resources are always gathered to suit exactly what you need. So regardless of the scale of your business we can help you out. There is literally no job too big or too small. Services include:

Art Direction | Graphic Design | Production/printing/file prep | Copywriting | Animation | Videography | Social Media management | Website Development | Brand Consultation | Photography/Drone | Illustration | Fine Art / Murals

Kimberly Wieting - Creative Director/Owner

This small town farm girl had big dreams of delving into the world of Art and Design but had no idea where things would take her. Kimberly graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design ( AUArts ) with a Bachelor of Design back when Nickelback still had a #1 billboard hit. Trained as an illustrator she quickly evolved her illustration style into “Gritty” fine art paintings. This is where the name originated from. Her paintings were gritty, but Kimberly herself has always been filled to the brim with grit and tenacity. Never at rest for long, while developing her painting style, she also gained work experience in retail product development, colour studies, advertising and design by working for various companies until she was poached by the City of Calgary in 2009. Since then, Kimberly has been going strong and is known as a seriously hard worker who has endless energy and is one of the luckiest people you will ever meet. When she is not designing she is typically found traveling the globe, spending time with friends/family, winning contests, renovating homes, riding her motorbikes, snowboarding or dreaming up new business ideas. Learn more about her on linked-in .

Walter Harrison McGrath - In-House Moral booster, comedian and general Muse

We are pleased to introduce our latest addition to the team. Walter was “short” listed to join the team in the fall of 2020. What he lacks in height he makes up in pure unapologetic personality. Corgis are known for being smart, stubborn and for being extremely entertaining. Walter takes these descriptors to the next level. His work ethic may not be the strongest of the team, but his lovability makes up for it. Our HR department has given him the green light to continue with unorthodox workplace activities which include kissing, snuggling and eating other peoples lunches. His skillset is not one to be overlooked however – he is available upon request depending on the nature of the project. Walter is currently chewing on a bone and is in the preparatory stage of launching his own instagram page.
